"Sports and fitness have been passions of mine for as long
as I can remember, and I'm a firm believer in functional fitness -
getting the body ready to perform at its best. Having left the UK
in 2013 with all my worldly possessions on a bicycle a few years
ago, I ended up here in Dunedin to complete my PhD in exercise
psychology at the University of Otago.
I specialise in motivation for exercise, and have been looking at
the influence of mindfulness in adherence to exercise. As I
continue with my research, I will be working hands-on as a personal
trainer and figuring out how best to help our clients stick to
their physical activity goals."
